Honoring the Past and Building for the Future Our meeting concluded successfully today, striking a balance between honoring those who paved the way and finalizing our plans for a busy season of service. We began the session by observing one minute of silence in memory of Mary Ellen Ellwood, our Past District Governor of Rotary District 7255. We mourn her demise and remain deeply grateful for her dedicated service to our community. Discussion on Upcoming Key Dates • Nepal Day Parade 2026: May 17, 2026. • EPIC Day of Service (Parks Clearing & Community Cleanup): Scheduled for May 23, 2026. We will be focusing our efforts on the Moore Homestead Playground. • Presidential Installation Ceremony: Join us on June 20, 2026, for the official installation of Pasang Sherpa as our new President. Agenda & Project Updates • Service & Participation: In addition to our own cleanup events, we discussed our participation in upcoming installations for our fellow Rotary clubs. • HHH Project Success: We are thrilled to report the completion of the Water Supply Tank and the Kitchen & Dining Room Construction projects. • Financial Contribution: Following a review of our current financial status, Club Treasurer Dawa Karma Sherpa presented a check for $305 to Past President Nabaraj KC. This donation supports the Shrimad Bhagavat Katha (A Vedic Wisdom Discourse) and contributes to the construction of the sacred Funeral Ritual Monastery. Thank you to all the members for your continued commitment to our shared mission.
