"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." – Helen Keller Today, Saturday, September 28, 2024, the Rotary Club of New York Queens proudly participated in the Moore Homestead Playground Cleaning Project. Despite the light rain, earlier morning our dedicated executive club members joined hands with enthusiastic students from Newtown High School to make a positive impact in our community. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Alejandra Venegas, Community Engagement Coordinator, NYC Parks for their unwavering support , our Assistant District Governor Michael Ashkenozy, our past Presidents Nabaraj KC, Kham Bhatta and Hans Raj Joshi and also Executive Secretary Urgen Sherpa to all the young students of Newtown High School, whose hard work and commitment truly made this event a resounding success. Together, we are not just cleaning a playground; we are cultivating a sense of community and responsibility for our shared spaces.
