Dear Fellow Rotarians, Distinguished Guests, Friends, and Supporters,
On behalf of the Rotary Club of New York Queens, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who attended and supported our President and Executive Board Installation Ceremony for the 2026–2027 Rotary year.
This memorable evening would not have been possible without the presence, encouragement, and dedication of so many wonderful individuals.
I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to District Governor Lydia Wells, District Governor-Elect Rose Quaranta, and Past District Governor Arnie Quaranta for their leadership, guidance, and continued support.
Thank you to the Presidents and members of the Rotary Club of Queensborough West, Rotary Club of South Queens, Rotary Club of Freeport Merrick, and Rotary Club of Historic Jackson Heights for joining us in celebrating this special occasion.
Special thanks to our respected guest Shuliang Liang, Er. Temba Sherpa, President of United Sherpa Association (U.S.A.) Inc., and all Presidents and representatives of various community organizations for their friendship, partnership, and support.
I would also like to recognize our club’s Past Presidents, especially Nabaraj KC, Kham Bhatta, Hans Raja Joshi, and Arbin Poudel, whose leadership, vision, and dedication have built a strong foundation for our club’s continued success and continue to inspire future generations of Rotarians.
A sincere thank you goes to our outgoing Immediate Past President, Karma Lama, and his Executive Board for their outstanding service, dedication, and leadership throughout the past Rotary year. Your hard work has strengthened our club and prepared us for another successful year of service.
Special appreciation goes to Tsering Chokey Lama, our Master of Ceremonies, for beautifully guiding today’s program with professionalism and grace.
A special thank you to Yuba Bhatta, President of the Interact Club of New York Queens, and his entire team for their enthusiasm, leadership, dedication, and commitment to service. Your active participation and support reflect the spirit of Rotary and inspire the next generation of community leaders.
I would also like to extend special thanks to our cultural dance performers, Chheki Sherpa and Rinchen Lhamu Sherpa, for sharing their talent, energy, and cultural heritage, which added warmth, joy, and vibrancy to this memorable celebration.
I would also like to express my heartfelt gratitude to my leadership team—our Immediate President, President-Elect, Secretary, Treasurer, and the entire Board of Directors—for their unwavering support, teamwork, dedication, and commitment. Your guidance, cooperation, and shared vision have been invaluable in making today’s President and Executive Board Installation Ceremony a success.
I would also like to extend my sincere appreciation to our family members and friends for their encouragement, understanding, and continued support. Your presence today and your support throughout the year inspire us to continue serving our communities with passion and purpose.
A very special thank you to Purushottam Khadgi, owner of Woodside Cafe and our fellow Rotarian, and the entire Woodside Cafe team for providing such a wonderful venue, delicious meals, and exceptional hospitality that made this event truly special.
Finally, I would like to thank every member, volunteer, family member, friend, sponsor, and supporter who contributed directly or indirectly to the success of today’s President and Executive Board Installation Ceremony. Your time, generosity, and dedication are deeply appreciated.
As we begin this new Rotary year under the theme “Create Lasting Impact,” let us continue to serve with compassion, lead with integrity, strengthen our friendships, and work together to make a meaningful and lasting difference in our communities and around the world.
