A Legacy of Compassion in the Himalayas “What is the essence of life? To serve others and to do good.” — Aristotle The Rotary Club of New York Queens is proud to announce the successful completion of the “Hope in the Himalayan Heartbeats” signature campaign. This initiative has brought tangible change and essential infrastructure to the remote region of Mugu, Karnali, Nepal, proving that distance is no barrier to human kindness. Impacting Lives in Mugu Through the collective efforts of our community, we have finalized two vital projects at the JTAM Orphans Child Home: 1. Clean Water Access: Construction of a dedicated drinking water supply tank, ensuring a reliable source of hydration and hygiene for the children. 2. A Place to Gather: The completion of a brand-new Kitchen and Dining Room, providing a dignified space for nourishment and community. Celebrating Our Collective Success These milestones were made possible by the overwhelming success of our Gala Dinner 2025, held on December 19. The funds raised during that evening of elegance and purpose have been directly transformed into bricks, pipes, and—most importantly—hope. A Note of Gratitude To our generous sponsors, tireless supporters, and dedicated club members: thank you. Your unwavering commitment to serving communities in need has turned a vision into a reality. Together, we haven’t just built structures; we have strengthened the heartbeat of a community. #RotaryInternational #ServiceAboveSelf #NepalAid #HimalayanHope #CleanWater #CommunityImpact #RotaryQueens Post navigation Honoring the Past and Building for the Future Success at the District Training Assembly
