Rotary Club of NY Queens – Meeting Highlights
Saturday September 13, 2025 at Himalayas Tea House & Spice Cafe, Scotch Plains, NJ
We gathered in fellowship and purpose at the newly opened Himalayas Tea House & Spice Cafe—founded by our Immediate Past President Rtn. Guru D. Parajuli whose dedication to community continues to inspire us all.
We began with the Pledge of Allegiance and a moment of silence for those who lost their lives during recent protests in Nepal.
President Rtn. Karma Lama welcomed special guests:

– AG Michael Ashkenazy
– Past Presidents, club members, new members, and guests
We also celebrated PP Rtn. Guru D. Parajuli for his leadership and the launch of his new restaurant.

– Rtn. Prithivi N. Pradhan
They were officially installed by AG Michael Ashkenazy. Welcome aboard.
Advance congratulations to Rtn. Michael Ashkenazy on his nomination as District Governor 2028–29

– Joint Disable Awaz Center, Gokarna
Each will receive $1000 in Phase 1 funding.
And in the midst of all the joy, we surprised our dear members Tshering Dolma and Rtn. Aruna Baskota with heartfelt birthday wishes! Wishing you both a wonderful year ahead filled with love, laughter, and meaningful moments
