Photos taken today, Sunday, December 22, 2024, on the auspicious occasion of the 7th Anniversary Celebration of the Rotary Club of New York Queens.
During the celebration, NYS Assembly Member Honorable Steven Raga, a representative from the Mayor’s office, Honorable Sookranie Dhanpat, and Neel, a representative from NYS Assemblywoman Jennifer Rajkumar, along with past presidents of the club, expressed their praise and solidarity with the club’s activities and extended their best wishes.
In the meantime, club members were awarded Certificates of Merit issued by NYS Assembly Member Steven Raga. Certificates of Appreciation were presented to Aalash Bhatta, President of the Rotaract Club, and Tsering Choeky Lama, President-Elect of the Rotaract Club. Additionally, Certificates of Appreciation were awarded to children who volunteered in park cleaning and blood donation activities.
Club President Arbin Paudel was honored with a citation issued by Honorable Eric Adams, Mayor of the City of New York. A Certificate of Appreciation was awarded to Sangay Sherpa, ECO-Walk Team member, for volunteering to carry the Club’s flag all the way from New York to Mt. Everest base camp and hoisting it. Certificates of Appreciation were also awarded to Pemba G. Sherpa, Immediate Past Trustee Coordinator, and Kalsang Choephel, Past Trustee Coordinator of Sherpa Kyidug, for their outstanding contributions to the community over the decades.
Raffle tickets were drawn, and awards were handed over. Congratulations to all the lucky raffle winners, especially the first prize winner:
