Rotary Club of New York Queens – January 2026 Monthly Meeting
Today, January 10, 2026, we gathered at the Woodside Cafe & Restaurant (64‑23 Broadway, Woodside, NY 11377) for our monthly meeting from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
Highlights of the evening:
– Reviewed the Rotary Gala Dinner 2025 & shared lessons learned.
– Discussed ways to improve future Gala events based on the experience and suggestions from our recent gala events.
– Updates on financial statements from 2024/25 – 2025/2026.
– Discussed the details on website and project initiatives under the signature campaign “Hope in the Himalayan Heartbeats”.
– Discussed and handed over the club’s annual funding of $1,000 to Manju Bista to support students of Shree Bhotang Devi Secondary School for their school dress, shoes and food .
– Discussed on the JTAM projects and agreed to initiate phased disbursements of funds to the JTAM project in Mugu, Karnali.
– Discussed the Executive Board Members of the signature campaign projects “Hope in the Himalayan Heartbeats” website initiative of Rotary Club of New York Queens.
