Happy New Year from Rotary Club of New York Queens!
On January 3, 2026, our esteemed members Rtn. Karma Lama (President), Rtn. Arbin Poudel (Immediate Past President), Rtn. Hans Raj Joshi (Past President), Rtn. Pasang Sherpa (President Elect), Rtn. Pemba Gyalzen Sherpa (Executive Secretary), Rtn. Dawa Karma Sherpa (Treasurer), and Rtn. Urgen Sherpa (Board of Director) attended the first Rotary District Happenings meeting of Rotary District 7255 for the year 2026.
The meeting highlighted Vocational Service, a cornerstone of Rotary that encourages Rotarians to use their professional expertise and skills to address pressing societal problems and meet community needs. Our club president, Rtn. Karma Lama, wished all club members a happy new year and urged them to collaborate with our signature campaign project “Hope in the Himalayan Heartbeats” (HHH). We invite all Rotarians to scan the QR code distributed, get involved, and support our initiatives.
